JOB POSITION SUMMARYThe Centrifugal Compressor Engineer will be focused on new product introduction (NPI) ,Value Analysis/Value Engineering, quality improvement and research activities. NPI is to deliver new centrifugal compressor products on target of performance, cost and quality as aligned with market and product team. VA/VE is a technique used to deliver high product/service value to customers by reducing cost and/or improving functionality without compromising on quality. Other responsibilities will include assisting product technical support, manufacturing personnel (Factory), and other compressor & chiller engineers in the business unit globally.what you will do : ● Lead new product development of centrifugal compressor including design/simulation, qualification plan, prototype building and test data analysis, deliver products meeting cost, performance and quality target. ● Lead improvement projects for quality, cost, performance, and reliability of existing centrifugal compressor. ● Lead/participate technology research projects. ● Guide designers in product design and creation of drawings and BOM’s to implement product improvements or to support the release of new centrifugal designs. ● Review and approve technical documents incl drawings, DFMEA,PTPR prior to release for manufacturing. Ensures thorough and robust design documentation for manufacturing. ● Lead/participate in formal problem-solving activities. Supports the regional manufacturing team and/or field technicians as needed. ● Be a resource for other compressor engineers in support of their NPI, VA/VE projects. ● Be a coordinator between APAC and NA for projects including NPI, VAVE etc. ● Participate in the streamlining effort of internal design standards, tools and procedures. ● Assist department manager to coach and guide team members for competency development. ● Coordinate agency approval activities (UL, etc.) for compressor engineering. ● Maintains a safe working environment and supports a zero-harm culture. ● Comply with company ethics policy, other regulation and related quality requirements. ● Performs other duties as may be assigned.what we want:-Bachelor degree and above in compressor, fluid machinery, mechanical Engineering.-10+ years experience in centrifugal compressor or HVAC industry.- Familiar with centrifugal compressor structure, work principle and manufacturing process.-Proficiency in centrifugal compressor design, simulation and refrigeration thermaldynamic.- Demonstrated capability of casting, gear, sliding bearing design, manufacturing and application/****ion.-Familiarity with Aero design and calculation preferred Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration and influencing skill.-Strong interpersonal and communication skill. Ability to independently perform basic research of **** information that is relevant to a development program.- Knowledge of quality engineering processes such as 8D Possess high proficiency in basic off and data analysis software incl Microsoft Word/Excel/PPT, and CAD Software such as Pro_E/Inventor.-Fluent English in speaking, writing and reading. Possess time management skillsWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, heated mechanical parts, adhesive fumes, airborne particles, and energized electrical systems.
